SubSpace Navigation and Metadata for Confluence combine to build navigation using metadata.
If both apps are installed:

You can add a CQL navigation element in SubSpace Navigation.

In the CQL query, you can use Metadata sets and Metadata fields.

This lets you create dynamic menus that automatically show pages matching specific metadata values.
