Differences between User Profiles for Confluence Server/Data Center to Cloud

The following table gives you an overview of the current functional differences between our Server and Cloud apps.

  • Microsoft 365

  • User information is directly displayed within the “Contact Person” macro and is not applied to the Atlassian user profile.

“Contact Person“ / “Enhanced Profile” macro 

info The “Contact Person” macro can be used to display contact information of a Microsoft 365 user. You can see the following information:

  • name

  • profile picture

  • email

  • business phone

  • department

  • location

  • Microsoft Teams availability status

Users can also start a Microsoft Teams chat directly from the macro.

info The “Enhanced Profile” macro can be used to display information that is stored in the Atlassian user profile configurations. However, you won't be able to see the user's Microsoft Teams availability status.

“Organization Chart” macro

“Contact List“ / “Profile List” macro

info The “Contact List“ macro can be used to display a list of Microsoft 365 users. The list can be configured using the profile criteria position, department and location. It displays the following information:

  • name

  • profile picture

  • email

  • business phone

info The "Profile List" macro can be used to display the profile information of several Atlassian users. Flexible configuration options and different display modes are available.
