Breadcrumbs

What are Viewers?

A Viewer is an individual user with a Confluence login who has viewed a page.

Viewers appear in all reports unless the Extended Privacy Mode is enabled.

Anonymous users and Protected Confluence users will not be counted as Viewers.

Bear this in mind when using Viewtracker on public-facing pages, e.g. a public software documentation. The views of the anonymous Viewers will be tracked, but there is no count of the number of anonymous Viewers.

For example, your page registers the following views:

  • 6 individual users

  • 20 anonymous users

  • 2 Protected Confluence Users

In this case, you will see an amount of 6 Viewers in the report.
